Maoershan Experimental Forestry Center       It was founded in1958,located in the branch range of Changbai mountain and the west of Zhang Guangcai mountain.The important base integrated the teaching,research,development and production holds 26,291 hectares areas which is the national forest park. The main vegetation is the typical nature secondary trees in the east mountain of northeast,the cover rate of forest is 70.2%,the forest area is 204.9 ten thousand square meters.Many mountains wind in the region, the main top of Maoershan projects abruptly, under which,the Ashi river flows quietly and clear.The high mountain,clear river and pretty forest create the beautiful and splendid natural scenery.Many nature and sights are located near the main mountain such as girl hill,kiss stone,Xiaohua hill, laodao cave,dishui cave,canglong mountain,yingzui stone,and taihe gong,ect.      It is about 87 kilometers away from the Harbin city, conveniently communicated by the highway and binsui railway.In the recent years,NEFU develops positively the forest travel industry and utilizes fully the service establishment attracting many travelers to come to visit here.They can live in the forest and research workstation or campus in the bank of Ashen river, especially visit the lab.Of the forestry centre, sample room,see moderately the research example place,permanent observation station and observation tower.It creates the good condition for people knowing the nature and enriching the knowledge of nature.
