Maoershan Experimental Forestry Center        Harbin City Forestry Demonstration Base of Northeast Forestry University was built first among the bases for practicing and teaching attached to Northeast Forestry University.Meanwhile,it is just beside Northeast Forestry University and it is an important base for teaching and scientific experiments.Its total area is 48.83 hectare.The artificial forest includes larch, camphor tree,black pine,white birch,family elm and so on.There are 150 kinds of woody plant.The base is mainly divided into six parts,including the trees sample region,the artificial forest experimental region,the experimental nursery region and the center office.On the whole,it is a typical artificial forest.       Through nearly 40 years’building,Harbin City Forestry Base has became one that combines teaching,research with practice,where scientific experiment and city gardening study are carried out with teaching as major task.The policy of developing the base is that by centering in teaching,basing on scientific experiments, by means of scientific management combining with the needs of markets,and carrying out multi-subject experiments with forest as its major discipline.We will steadily build the base into one of high technology,high benefits with biological characteristic.
