报告人:Dr.Rosana López

报告人简介:Rosana López is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and Deputy Director for Research, Doctorate, and Entrepreneurship at the School of Forest Engineering (ETSI Montes). Her research focuses on forest ecophysiology, with special emphasis on species adaptation to drought and rising temperatures. She has been a Marie Curie researcher in Australia and France and combines research with teaching, mentoring young scientists, and transferring knowledge to forest managers and stakeholders. Her main goal is to provide tools to predict and mitigate the effects of climate change and land use on forests.

报告题目:Beyond the leaf: The hidden role of stemphotosynthesis in tree functioning

报告人:Dr. RobertoSalomón

报告人简介:Roberto Salomón is an Associate Professor at the School of ForestEngineering, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain. He holds aPhD in Advanced Forest Research from UPM and was a Marie Curie at GhentUniversity. His research focuses on forest ecophysiology, with anemphasis on tree respiration and hydraulics, carbon transport tracedwith isotopic techniques, and process-based modelling. He combinesresearch with teaching in Plant Ecophysiology, Biology, and ForestResilience, and mentors MSc and PhD students. His main goal is tounderstand and model forest physiological responses to environmentalchange to improve predictions of forest resilience.

报告题目:Thinning for Survival: Enhancing Forest Resilience and Biodiversity in Tablas de Daimiel National Park (Spain)

报告人:Dr. Martin D. Venturas

报告人简介:Dr. Martin D. Venturas is an Associate Professor at the School of Forest Engineering, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain. He holds a BSc in Forest Engineering, an MSc in Environmental Sciences, and a PhD in Advanced Forest Research from UPM. He completed postdoctoral training at California State University and the University of Utah (USA), and was awarded a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship at UPM. His research mainly focusses on plant pathology, plant hydraulics, forest ecophysiology, and forest conservation. I am interested in understanding how plant communities respond to different environmental stress factors such as drought, disease, and human disturbance. At UPM, he teaches Management of Protected Areas, Plant Ecophysiology, and Forestry Production.
